4 arrested and charged after RCMP pursuit in Frog Lake

Four people are facing multiple charges after a police pursuit that began in Frog Lake First Nation.

RCMP say a man pointed a firearm at some homeowners on the First Nation on August 2nd, police pursued the suspect vehicle and used a tire deflation device to stop it in a field.

Bear spray and a loaded shotgun were found inside the vehicle and the passengers were arrested without incident according to RCMP.

The driver attempted to flee on foot however was chased down by the K9 unit.

26 year old Kyle Laboucane, 25 year old Janel Smith, 34 year old Jason Lajimodiere and 25 year old Wilson Desjarlais were all charged with numerous crimes including flight from police, unsafe storage of a firearm and more.

The court dates will be later in August.
