61 new COVID-19 cases in Alberta

Alberta's Chief Medical Officer Deena Hinshaw says there are now 419 case in the province.

Alberta's Chief Medical Officer Deena Hinshaw announced 61 new cases in Alberta, bringing the total to 419 in Alberta.

The 61 new cases show a jump of 14.5% day over day.

33 cases could be community transmission, 20 are hospitalized and 8 are in ICU.

There was another COVID-19 breakout at a group-home for adults with developmental disabilities, bringing the total to 4 long term care homes with cases.

Hinshaw says people shouldn't be sharing communal food, like popcorn or open bags of chips.
