Alberta driver fined after going 180km in a 60 zone

The identity of the driver was not released.

A woman had her licence suspended after allegedly driving her vehicle three times over the speed limit near High Prairie.

High Prairie RCMP said officers caught a vehicle going 180km/h in a 60km/h zone on Highway 2 in the Big Lakes County area, entering the town of High Prairie.

According to police they pulled over the vehicle and charged the 27 year old woman driving with careless driving, and she was issued a speeding ticket with a mandatory court appearance.

The woman had her GDL suspended and her vehicle seized for 7 days following a caution reading on a breathalyzer.

The identity of the driver was not released.
