Grande Prairie Public Library celebrating 80th birthday

Located in the Montrose Cultural Centre, the GPPL serves the city of Grande Prairie and is the Resource Centre for the Peace Library System

Grande Prairie's Library has introduced several new things, including opening up spaces and creating a new room for board room type meetings or for small groups to work in, new accessible seating, a new space for teenagers and added Creative Stations with their computers to include photo, video and sound editing.

New collections were also added, including ‘Binge Bags’ – library curated collections of either DVDs or books that have a common theme.

Community members are invited to the library's 80th birthday celebration, Thursday October 3, between 2 to 4 p.m. at 9839 103 Ave
