Wood Buffalo author nominated for award

Therese Greenwood is a finalist for the 2020 Alberta Book Publishing Awards from the Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA)

A Wood Buffalo author has been nominated for awards following her piece, What You Take With You: Wildfire, Family and the Road Home - a memoir of the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires. 

The novel was an eyewitness account of the wildfires and evacuation, the book is also about the physical and emotional artifacts people carry with them in a time of crisis.

Greenwood, is mostly known for her fiction work, winning the 2019 Spur Award from the Western Writers of America and is a three-time finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award, Canada's top mystery writing prize.
