Are you a Sixties Scoop Survivor and someone who has experienced criminalization/contact with the criminal justice system? This workshop is presented by the Sixties Scoop Network in partnership with the Sixties Scoop Indigneous Sociecty of Alberta
THE SIXTY-SCOOP SURVIVOR GATHERING:
Sixties Scoop Network, in partnership with the Sixties Scoop Indigenous Society of Alberta and Creating Hope Society of Alberta, invites you to join
“In Our Own Words: Mapping the 60s Scoop Survivor Diaspora” research project will explore the role of criminalization in the experiences and resiliencies of Sixties Scoop Survivors.
Your participation is voluntary, and if you feel comfortable sharing, you will be asked questions about your experiences of criminalization and the criminal justice system, along with questions regarding personal and cultural resiliency. Please note that Covid-19 protocols are in effect.
Noon – Lunch
1:00 pm – Sharing Circle
Smudging and cultural supports will be available. We will have available bus tickets and taxi arrangements; please get in touch with us if you require one.
