More Information (CFWE is not responsible for external websites)

Are you looking for new summer fun experiences? Are you between the ages of 12 and 18 or have a daughter or granddaughter in this age group? This summer we will be having our YIWCL based on nehiyawewin cultural arts immersed in the 'nehiyawewin' language in a VIRTUAL SPACE. We will have small groups of young women engaged in hands-on visual, musical, and performative arts. The program will run over 2 weeks and include a fall program for follow-up.

You will get a tote bag with a Cree dictionary, gift card, Askiy Tea gift bag, beading kit from master beader, Margaret Cardinal and learning materials in advance and the girls who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Alberta and an honorarium. Registration will start in early May so please keep an eye on our website at the U of A. It will be updated with news in April.
