Alberta businesses get ready for possible re-opening

During phase 1 of Alberta's reopening, fitness studios and gyms were allowed to reopen but only for one-on-one training.

Businesses with the fitness or hospitality industries are getting ready to see some restrictions lifted as health officials have hinted at this for Monday afternoon.

Retail, gyms and fitness centres are preparing with the belief that capacity-related restrictions may be eased.

GoodLife Fitness has notified its members of a tentative plan to reopen barring any change from the province.

According to the province, Step 2 would only be implemented when hospitalizations remain below 450 for three straight weeks.

As of Sunday, 250 people remain in hospital with COVID-19. 46 of whom are in intensive care.
