Officials announced the move in late August, shutting down any equalization to a vaccine passport.
Alberta residents will be able to print off their proof of vaccine status card starting Thursday, while online versions on mobile devices can be accessed today.
The QR code it promised remains in the works but should be available in "the coming weeks". Alberta's government has called the QR code its way of helping out businesses or institutions which will require proof of vaccine status.
Health Minister Tyler Shandro says the public should sign up for MyHealthRecords so they can access their health records, including immunization records, in the palm of their hand any time and anywhere.
