Whitecourt RCMP confirm the body of a 14-year-old Edmonton boy was recovered Tuesday from the Rotary Park pond after he fell in the water on Sunday afternoon.

The boy was located Tuesday morning by a volunteer dive rescue team.

According to police, the boy was swimming in the water with adults, when he tried to jump to a rock, but slipped and fell into the water.
