Edmonton's Chris Sadleir starts his second walk to breathe

Recent estimates show that one in five Albertans will be affected by lung disease at some point in their lives.

Back in August of 2020, Edmonton's Chris Sadleir left on an 11 day walk from Calgary to Edmonton, stretching 330km. Yesterday Sadleir started his second walk to breathe fundraiser.

The walk was set to raise $22,000 to support people who are dealing with lung disease and increase the awareness of it's range of effects. Chris's motivation came from his father, who had a double lung transplant.

The walk exceeded all expectations bringing in more than $33,000 for the cause raising more awareness and engagement than Sadleir had hoped for.

With the added distance to his walk this year, he's kicking things up a gear raising the goal to $50,000 and he's already received more than $25,000

Beginning at House of Cars in Lethbridge, he’ll walk all the way to Edmonton in just 17 days, averaging around 30 km per day.
