‘Hockey Bros’ Collecting Equipment To Help Kids Play Sport

“It’s becoming a family tradition for us, and I encourage everyone in our community to get on board this year.”

The ‘Fort Mac Hockey Bros’ are once again looking to help kids across the region play the sport they love.

Parker and Cruze Flett are collecting old equipment which they plan to give to kids who can’t afford to play Canada’s favourite pastime.

Last year, they helped kids in Fort Chipewyan, Fort McKay, Conklin, and Janvier.

“I was overwhelmed by their compassion and consideration of kids their age, who don’t have the opportunity to play hockey,” said Allison Flett, Parker and Cruze’s mother, in a release.

One community already seeing a big impact is Fort Chipewyan. The number of kids registering in hockey has jumped since the donations were made.

Donations can be made directly to the Flett’s.
