Christmas Bureau of Edmonton accepting applications until December 5

Families and individuals can apply for gift cards, children's toys and food donations



The Christmas Bureau of Edmonton, which was established in 1940, provides meals and coordination of Christmas giving for families and individuals in need in the city during the holiday season.

In 2021, the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton served over 35,000 clients, delivered over 1,200 hampers, distributed over 9,000 gift cards including 4,786 to teens, and logged over 6,350 volunteer hours, and Executive director, Adam Zawadiuk said they expect to help even more this year.

If you live in Edmonton, meet the criteria, and are looking for some help this holiday season, fill out the application form.

Donations can also be made online, at any Servus Credit Union location or fire station in the city.


The Christmas Bureau of Edmonton offers a one-stop application process for three Christmas services:

  • food hamper or food gift card from the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton food program
  • gift cards for teens aged 13 to 17 through the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton’s Adopt-A-Teen program
  • toys for children aged 0 to 12 years through Santas Anonymous
